The blue symbol, with the cross, water, and water lily identifies the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As children of God, we are baptized, forgiven, adopted into God’s family, full of grace and hope in eternal life. It is a reminder of the mission of the church to “Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”. Matthew 28:19

February Bible Study

“to follow and to serve Jesus of Nazareth”
Theme Verse: “Take heart, get up, he is calling you.” Mark 10:49

Let us look at the tough questions.  What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus at the heart of all these exchanges.
Read chapter 10.

·  Learn about Jesus relationship to the ancient commandments of God including a discussion of marriage and divorce.
·  Explore the model Jesus provides for welcoming children as part of the church’s work today
·  Discuss together tough questions about the nature and demands of Christian discipleship
·  Examine what servant leadership means for those who follow Jesus
·  Learn from Bartimaeus what it means to set one’s deepest longing before God

Dear Lord, Thank you for hearing the cries of all who turn to you.  Help us, like Bartimaeus to be strong in our faith, bold in our witness, and generous in our service in Jesus name – Amen.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
