The annual OSLC Father-Son Retreat is scheduled for the weekend of June 13-15 at Camp Onomia. This is a great opportunity for men of all ages to gather for fun, fellowship, relaxation, and spiritual nourishment in a beautiful camp setting on the shore of Shakopee Lake. The theme again this year is centered around prayer. Contact Curt Eide, David Flynn, or Glenn Leckband for more information or to register.

A celebration potluck will be held on May 18th at 11:30am. Parish Fellowship Ministry Team will provide chicken for the meal. Please bring a dessert or side dish to pass. Come and celebrate 60 wonderful years of ministry.

Welcome to Power Lab VBS

August 11-15, 2008, 9 am to 12 noon,

where kids discover Jesus’ miraculous power! Get ready for an exciting adventure, following Jesus as he heals, helps, and gives power to people who need him.

Power Lab is fizzing with fun for kids, teenagers, and adults. Everyone involved in this VBS will explore God’s Word…and never be the same again! As kids experience amazing Bible adventures, they’ll take part in Daily Challenges that encourage them to apply Bible truths to everyday life. There will be an informational/organizational/planning meeting at Bethel Lutheran at 7 pm on April 28, 2008.  There are also two decorating work days scheduled, May 12 and 13, from 1 pm to 9:30 pm, also at Bethel Lutheran.  I will be looking for volunteers again this year.  We will need team escorts, station leaders, crafts, snack, bible story teller, picture taker, games, Preschool Station Leader and helpers, etc.  More information will be provided in the next couple of months.  If you want to help but are unable to be there in person, we are also accepting donations of snack food, craft supplies, program items, etc.  I will be making up post-its of items needed and placing them in the Narthex when the time comes.  Thank you, Joleen Carlson, VBS Coordinator-288-9598
