Women of Our Savior's, May Bible Study

The Bible reading for the last session of the Beatitudes study are: Psalm 27; Matthew 5:1-12: Jesus’ first sermon; Matthew 25:31-46: Jesus’ last sermon; 1 Corinthians 4:9-13: Paul’s song (and the song of ALL Disciples)

God become one of us in order to experience everything we experience, even suffering and persecution. Interestingly enough, the last Beatitude takes us to the center of all that we love most and fear most. (Matthew 5:10-12) To give us insight in our journey of discipleship, we will study the arc of discipleship which falls in the first and last sermon of Jesus. How do we follow Jesus? Where do we find Him? Remember to read the following articles in the Lutheran Women Today magazine.

“All God’s Children” p. 22; “Blessed to See” p. 34; “A Life Transformed” p. 6.

Blessing to you.

Lutheran World Relief Kits

Last year we had a great response to packing Health Kits, School Kits and Layettes for Lutheran World Relief. Fifty-Seventy kits of each were sent to Lutheran World Relief. Let’s see how many we can do this year. Shopping lists for supplies are available on the Women of Our Savior’s bulletin board near the church office. Remember, some items from the layettes can be gently used baby clothes. If you enjoy sewing, let Cheri Struve know because some items can be sewn. Items can be placed in the designated basket on the counter in the Narthex. Thank you
