FAQ

Have questions before your first visit? We’ve got answers.

  • We get it. You can barely see our church from the road because half of it is underground, and our parking lot is a circle that you drive around counter-clockwise. We promise it’s worth it! Enter from Viola Rd and head to the right around the parking lot. Doors 2 and 3 are closest to the Sanctuary! Once inside, you’ll find folks milling about who are happy to say hi and show you around.

  • If you’re ready to actually enter the building, you’ll find a group of warm, welcoming people dressed in suits, jeans and t-shirts, and everything in between. We appreciate those who choose to dress in their “Sunday Best” and celebrate those who don’t let apparel get in the way of showing up to church.

  • We’re pretty lo-tech, so don’t expect a giant screen most Sundays or smoke machines ever. That’s just not our style. Expect insightful sermons, beautiful music, and traditional liturgy with a relaxed feel. We may use traditional worship patterns, but we’re not afraid to try new things as well. Services typically last 45-60 minutes.

  • Yes! We welcome all people, regardless of background, age, sense of worthiness, or any factor to join us in Communion. God loves all and welcomes all. No one really understands what’s going on in Communion…so who are we to gate keep?! We offer cups of red wine or white grape juice, and have a gluten-free option available.

  • Kids are welcomed and encouraged to participate in worship. We know being quiet and still can be hard…and that’s ok. If Jesus called the kiddos to him, who are we to turn them away?! We’ve got a whole table in the Narthex (the space right outside the Sanctuary) with quiet toys and fidgets that kids are welcome to bring into worship. Find out more about Sunday School and such here ((link)). The wall between the Narthex and the Sanctuary is glass, so if you’ve got a kid who just needs to run a bit, you can take advantage of the open space there while still seeing and hearing the service.

After worship, head out of the Sanctuary and take two lefts to find the kitchen and Fellowship Hall. Help yourselves to treats, then check out the table in the Fellowship Hall with games and more crafts!
